About Us

Titles are temporary. Identity is not.

Your Roster was built by someone who has actually sat in the part after a job ends and before the next one starts — not a team that studied the job search from the outside.

Savan Kong

Founder, Your Roster · Product, Design & CX executive

Savan is an award-winning Product, Design & Customer Experience executive, and the first Customer Experience Officer (CXO) at the Department of Defense. After going through a layoff himself, he founded War Room and Light-Lux, and started writing and speaking openly about what actually happens in the space between titles.

Your Roster comes out of the same place: a layoff makes it obvious, fast, that the job search everyone tells you to run — polish the résumé, apply everywhere — is not actually how people get hired. The people who get in the room are the ones somebody already knows. This product exists to make that fact usable instead of unfair.

Life Between Titles
“Nobody wants to sit in the part where you don't yet know who you are without the title.”

Savan is also the founder and host of Life Between Titles, a media platform for people navigating career transitions, identity shifts, and the uncertain space between chapters — across three shows: Life Between Titles (raw conversations with people mid-transition), Office Hours (coaches, recruiters, therapists and executives on the practical side of it), and Work, Unscripted (unconventional careers).
